Jan 23 Course Introduction - Syllabus
Jan 28 Peachtree: Getting Started and Vendor Transactions. Note: we will work many of the assignments in class. There is no need to do these before class. What is not completed is finished for homework.

Feb 4 Peachtree: General Ledger, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and Financial Statements
Feb 6 Peachtree: Maintaining Accounting Records for a Service Business. This deals with chapters 9 and 10. The syllabus has a typo.

Feb 13 Peachtree Exam
  • Here is what you will do during your exam. You may use your Peachtree book during the exam. You may also print the exam summary and write any notes you wish on the summary. No other books or other resources may be used. I will give you a disk that you can use to back-up your work.

Feb 20 Door County Golf Center Project - You do not need to down load these files. I will give you copies in class. 
  • Instructions for setting up the project (.doc file)
  • Transactions to be posted (.xls file)
  • Fixing tax table problem (.doc file). In order for you to complete the project, you need to complete the instructions related to a tax table problem. I will explain this in class and give you a disk with the appropriate file.
Feb 25 Review of DFD and flowcharting homework as listed in the syllabus. 
Feb 27 Change of topic. Instead of covering Visio, I will be in the lab to answer any questions you might have about the Door County Golf Center project. I will also offer some suggestions for dealing with errors typically found in this assignment. I will be in the lab at both the 12:30 and 2:00 sessions.

Mar 27 Meet in Baker Computer Labs at either 12:30 or 2:00 pm. This project focuses on using Access and Excel. You may want to bring a disk to save your work.
