Part I

Writes a student-faculty collaborative research proposal for integrating Six Sigma with computer information systems technologies.
The proposal must include the Six Sigma background information, including research activity design and methodology, literature review,
and full budget justification.

Guidelines for the proposal:

1. Briefly describe the six sigma process improvement model and methodology, and its impacts.
    Describe the successful six sigma implementation at Caterpillar and its recent implementation
    at Cat suppliers including OSF. Why Bradley CS & CIS students should study it. The importance
    of integrating it with CS & CIS technologies. (See pp 74-79 for an example.)

2. Collaborative research activities:

• Objectives. Collaborative with faculty software process management researches.
• Design a six sigma project for integrating with a software development process. Outline the project research activities.
• Design the DMAIC model activities and the forms used for the software development process.
• Six Sigma tools selections
• Six sigma strength and weakness when applied to the software process management.
