Objective:
This course is meant to develop an appreciation of various IE techniques as applied in manufacturing and service industries.  LAboratories and projects are used to provide an experiential approach to the problems of managing and planning such industries.  Place place of people in these systems is emphasized.
General:
The schedule and procedures i this syllabus are subject to change in the event of extenuating circumstances.  Any student with difficulty in meeting these requirements should contact the instructor as soon as possible for an attempt to resolve the difficulty.  This especially includes class dates the student will be unavailalbe.  All students are expected to participate in all classes, labs, and projects.  Absence from lab will reduce your points on that lab.  All students are expected to meet the pre-requisites of the course prior to the first day of class.  (Currently these are IME 105 and MTH 122.)  If you have not, contact your academic advisor immediately.
Laboratories and Projects:
Detailed lab requirements will be available on-line; it is the student's responsibility to obtain copies.  These will be found at http://hilltop.bradley.edu/~dek/ie306 .  Labs 1, 3, 4, & 6 will be held in Morgan 306; Lab 2 will be in Morgan 1; Lab 5 will be in Morgan 307.
