We will cover logic Programming and give an overview of Expert Systems and related technology. We will cover the areas of neural networks and Hybrid Expert Systems (a combination of neural nets or other paradigms and expert systems). Other Machine Learning techniques will also be covered. Fuzzy logic and fuzzy systems will also be covered. Off the self software packages will be used for implementations of these techniques. Applications to Intelligent web searching will also be discussed.

By the fifth or sixth week of the term you should decide on a project topic. Options for project topics will be given in class. Oral presentations on the projects are to be delivered on the last day of class.
