We will cover logic Programming and study an implementation language, namely the declarative language PROLOG and apply it on Artificial Intelligence applications. We will give an overview of Expert Systems and related technology. We will cover the areas of neural networks and Hybrid Expert Systems (a combination of neural nets or other paradigms and expert systems). Machine Learning and Data Mining will also be areas of emphasis. Fuzzy logic and fuzzy systems will also be covered.

By the fifth or sixth week of the term you should decide on a project topic. Options for project topics will be given in class. Oral presentations on the projects are to be delivered on the last day of class.
